Kenya

Friends,

Once again, I must appologize for the long gap in writing.  It has been a very busy fall.

I had the opportunity to go to Kenya and do a week long intensive Pastor's training in Eldoret.  There were 30 Pastors in attendance and it was an outstanding group to be with.  Also, it was fun to travel with Pastor Gaylon.  My responsibilities for teaching covered church planting and missions.  Both were very well recieved.

Above are a few photos from our excursion into Nairobi National Park.  I hope you enjoy them.

May the Lord bless you during this wonderful Christmas season and may 2013 be a very blessed year for you all!

Cool photos!

I know, I know!  It has been too long since I sat down to write.  So much has happened, our oldest has gotten married, Jessica is working and preparing to go back to Oaxaca in January and Carmen is growing up too fast.  Vonda is busy with her volunteer activities and still finds time to keep me in line.

I have had the privilege of leading a short term trip to the Children's home in Oaxaca and also traveling back to Honduras to do more leadership development.  In Oaxaca, our group cleaned and repaired the classrooms so they were ready for the beginning of school. We also completed several repairs of the facilities and vehicles.  Of course, it was a great time with the children as well.

While in Honduras, after leaving La Entrada which is home to some of the finest people in the world, I was able to visit the Girls farm in the mountains of western Honduras.  With the help of a good friend, Caleb Shaw, the lead singer for DC RETO we were able to give the girls a very special concert event.  The original idea was a special concert at the farm but the girls wanted to use the event as an evangelistic outreach for their community.  So, we set up in a church and there were several hundred people who came and enjoyed the concert.  Of course, the girls were on cloud nine and very happy.

Thank you for helping us to accomplish things like this in many places around the world.  You are a blessing to many!
Good looking family!

An Amazing Trip

I just returned from a week long trip with a group of very special young adults that went into an area of  rural central Oaxaca to pray for the Highland Mixe people. We were able to prayer walk in villages where there are no Christians and have an opportunity to visit with people in the market or on the streets. This was not an easy trip as we slept on the floor, ate village food, most of the walking was above 8000' and bounced around in a pickup for hours on end. The scenery was gorgeous and the rugged beauty of this area is unlike any place I have ever been.

God is always amazing and kept us safe on some very bad roads, when we had flat tires and in heavy rains. He also gave us the opportunity to minister to several Christian families in Tepuxtepec and meet a fantastic Pastor. I will post several photos below to give you an idea of the area we were in.

Thank you for your prayers!
